The Boeing Company Supply Chain Management Analyst in Cape Canaveral, Florida

The Boeing Company is seeking a Supply Chain Management Analyst entry level for Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s (BDS) X-37B. The United States’ most advanced, state-of-the-art reentry space craft. Boeing is the prime contractor for the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), an unmanned space vehicle that is used by the United States Air Force to explore reusable space vehicle technologies in support of long-term space objectives.

Objectives of the X-37B program include space experimentation, risk reduction, and concept of operations development. Managed by Experimental Systems Group (ESG), a unit of Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems, the X-37B is a flexible, affordable and responsive platform balancing the characteristics of a spacecraft and an aircraft. The ideal candidate will:

  • Apply change and planning decisions to arrive at optimal solutions;

  • Apply Supply chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the supply chain;

  • Coordinate with company customer support representatives, contract administration, purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, traffic, warehousing, suppliers and customers;

  • Incorporate Bills of Material (BOM) and schedules into a production plan;

  • Coordinate part number attributes;

  • Verify the released engineering BOM has been correctly implemented in the material planning system;

  • Release and maintain orders;

  • Document and resolve order delinquencies;

  • Report schedule adherence issues;

  • Apply developed solutions to inventory plans;

  • Analyze and disposition excess and obsolete inventory;

  • Create schedules for products and services;

  • Coordinate and support process improvements;

Qualifications:

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Typical Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree

Required Skills:

  • Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years;

  • 1 year Supply Chain Management, Finance or Program Management experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with flight hardware development programs;

  • Experience with material cost management, supply chain analysis, supply chain management or finance;

  • Inventory, stock or supply chain experience;

  • Experience with Supply Chain Systems and Tools.
