HNTB Corporation is currently seeking a Resident Manager in our CEI Maitland, Florida office to support complex FDOT highway and bridge projects.
Responsible for overall field management of HNTB's contract, administration and coordination on mid to large size project of a diverse and complex nature.
Monitors activities of assigned staff for conformance with HNTB's contractual requirements.Provides technical leadership for complex or unique assignments.
Reviews drawings, specifications, and installation for constructability. May recommend changes to design.
Analyzes complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnel.
Reads and interprets complex contract documents (plans, specs, shop drawings).
Collects data to brief Client on project issues and provides possible resolutions.
Prepares summary inspection reports of daily activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Coordinate and perform the auditing of the Concessionaire’s Maintenance Operations to include, but not limited to:
MOT, Guardrail and Attenuator compliance to Contract performance metrics
Environmental and Jobsite cleanliness compliance to Contract performance metrics
ITS, Signalization and Lighting compliance to Contract performance metrics
Road Ranger and Incident Response compliance to Contract performance metrics
Conduct daily field reviews of Concessionaire operations, and participate in ‘Pre-opening Field Meetings’ associated with ongoing phased construction
Conduct video-taped Project reviews of the corridor – once a week at night, and once a week during daylight hours
15 years construction related experience
Civil Engineering Degree plus ten (10) years of engineering experience in construction, and/or maintenance of major road or bridge projects, or for non-degreed personnel twenty (20) years of responsible and related experience
OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour Training, or ability to obtain within 30 days
ATTSA Intermediate MOT certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days
Complete FDOT Critical Structures Construction Issues self-study course within two (2) months
General Work Conditions
Combination Office and Field Environment: Most work is performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work may infrequently be performed at client’s job site, construction trailer, and in the field. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment and doing extensive walking. Adherence to applicable safety protocol is required.
