  • Leads the work of a group of employees in assembly.

  • Responsible for oversight and enforcement of applicable safety and health rules and procedures for his group and other individuals within his work area.

  • Must follow established safety and health procedures, rules and requirements for the job.

  • Must comply with safety regulation.

  • Must actively support continuous safety improvements such as Sea Ray Safety Management System.

  • Position may include long periods of standing, bending, squatting and handling of various mechanical/electrical/pneumatic tools.

  • Position may have controlled exposures to and/or handling of dust and chemicals as well as material handling exposures.

  • Must utilize the associated control measures for such as exposures through the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., respirator), material handling devices and procedures, dust collectors, proper ventilation, etc.

  • When lifting more than 50 pounds, get help from a co-worker or a mechanical lifting device.

  • Refer to work instructions for additional material handling instructions or your Supervisor for awkward handling tasks or lifting hazards including those tasks involving weight less than 50 pounds.

  • Knowledgeable about proper handling and precautions for chemicals utilized by his crew.

  • Knowledgeable about the health and safety hazards and protective measures for all the jobs involving members of his/her group. Keep time cards in order and overtime down.

  • Oversees department inspections and organizes daily work schedules. Must follow proper procedures in the safe handling of hazardous wastes, which may be generated during the manufacturing process.

  • Typically requires a high school education and two to three years of related experience.

  • This position will oversee activities that take place in Assembly Station 1 which consists of, but not limited to, engine station, electrical fabrication, electrical build, floor/liner set, pre deck cabinet installation, sub assembly.
