The selected candidate will support systems engineering activities related to the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) program in Orlando, FL. The Systems Engineer will be required to manage the technology refresh of the ALIS development architecture. This will include cost and schedule management as well as forecasting needed system upgrades and expansion activities. The Systems Engineer will interface with program leadership, product managers, and product owners in the development of planning and support requirements for ALIS development and sustainment activities. The selected candidate will work directly with the leadership of the ALIS Sustainment, Development, and Test teams to ensure success in meeting the goals of the overall ALIS Release IMS and individual project schedules.
The selected candidate will lead a team of personnel in the execution of support for this infrastructure to include prioritizing and assigning tasks, coordinating efforts between team members, recording task progress, updating leadership on task progress, and leading team troubleshooting efforts.
The selected candidate will also interface with the control account managers (CAMs) for the ALIS Administrators support budget and will be responsible for supporting the EVMS business rhythm which includes EAC assessments, VAR reports, and risk assessments.
Basic Qualifications Demonstrated skills, to include: a. Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting all aspects that make up Storage Area Network (SAN), logical unit number (LUN) and host bus adapter (HBA) hardware b. Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting all aspects that make up Internet Protocol (IP) Switch Fabric architecture (Routing, Fail Over, etc) c. Working knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS) and supported protocols d. Disaster Recovery/Restores e. Backups of physical servers, virtual machines, workstations f. Hardware/System monitoring of physical and virtual servers g. System Maintenance – schedule upgrades, OS updates, security patches h. Active Directory updates and user account maintenance i. Virtual infrastructure development and management to include Hyper-V and VMWare systems.
Must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Desired skills 1) Previous experience with the F-35 ALIS system 2) Prior technical lead experience 3) System integration and testing experience 4) Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. and deal with competing priorities in a fast paced environment
